External Photos

Nothing much has happened build over the last week wise except for the finishing touches to the cosmetic things we found during the PCI, so I thought I would upload some external photos after the site fence has been removed.

Things have really moved along and it seems like a good time for us to start packing.

Internal floor main living area tiles have been laid. shouldn't be long before carpet, cleaning and MOVING IN!!! Can't wait!
Still unable to get in to take photos so through the windows will have to do. We just seem to show up at the wrong time when nobody is there.

Tiling underway

Whilst the Painters finish the other areas of the house, the tiler has been in and laid some tiles! I am very happy with the tiles we have chosen. Our Laundry tub was also installed. We were unable to get photos of the en suite as the tiler was still hard at it.

Let the Painting Begin.

Not being able to get in the house is annoying, but we do what we can to get photos. The painters have started and looks like almost one coat has been done right through the house.

Our kitchen bench top and sink has also been installed.

Tile Problems!

We were thinking that this would happen and it did!

We got a call fro Di Lorenzo on Monday to advise us that the tile we had chosen for our wet area floors was discontinued. There was nothing else that we liked in the range that was available to us and we didn't want to pay anymore than we already had.
We headed of to Di Lorenzo on Thursday and spent about 2 hours re-selecting our tile. The hardest part was, since our vanities were already installed we had to find one that would match!

Thankfully they had a new tile in the range which they didn't have on display yet. The salesperson showed us the tile and huzzah! A tile for us!! So we signed the paperwork and headed out. It was not over. We hopped in the car and as we were driving out I noticed that they had changed our wall time without our knowledge.
We went back and asked them how they could change the wall tile without out consent yet when we had to change our floor tile they had to ask us???!!!

The salesperson was rude and abrupt and simply said "Well if you don't want it we can delay your house until you can get the one you originally wanted!"
The original wall tile we chose was as close to a flat edge tile you could get without paying extra. Now different suppliers and and even the same tile in a different batch can be different, but the salesperson didn't care and to prevent the delay of the house we accepted the change in wall tile and headed home.

So those building beware and always check paperwork twice as companies like Di Lorenzo may try to screw you over and give you the only option of delaying your build.

Roofing Complete!

"All the external colours seem to blend together quite nicely." This is what we were thinking when we arrived at our build today and noticed our Roof has been completed.

We have also booked an independent inspector to go through the house shortly. Thanks to all those who gave recommendations of who we could use.

Our bricks have been cleaned and show their proper colour now.
