Changes: Site Construction Fence, Port-a-loo & Rubble.
Sunday, March 27, 2011
Our rubble and toilet have been fenced in!
We visited our block this morning to find a pile of rubble blocking our driveway, that we have been fenced in and how convenient a port-a-loo. At first we thought it was there for us to use on our frequent site visits but the realised that soon we shall have quite a few other visitors to our block that may also need these facilities.
From previous blogs we have been reading we thought the fence came at a later stage (after the excavation). So to see it now was pleasing.

Changes: Silt Fence and Wisdom Sign, council nature strip mowed
We are planning on mowing the site next week to ensure that the grass wont be a problem when it comes time to start
If something is happening show us a sign
We dropped into our site today to notice that we have a Wisdom sign.
We also noticed a silt fence along the back boundary of the site.
Weekly Photo - Week one
We have decided to take a photo from a point at our block every week to show progress. This will be along with the individual progress updates.
Here is week one which was taken on 13/3/2011.

Progress.
I dropped the final construction plans back to Wisdom yesterday with one question in mind "So when will we see some work starting?"
The reply to this was "The excavation should start within 3-4 weeks, followed by the slab 1-2 weeks after that". This is good news but as always taken with a grain of salt. Lets hope the weather is favorable so we get very few or no delays.
Our plans come back from Sydney Water with no conditions so its full steam ahead!

Red Pegs and Waiting
We visited our block today only to notice that we have four more pegs. They are all within the boundary of our block and all have 3m o/s to int'n. Does any one know what they are for? My guess was that its where they are excavating/filling for the house. See photos below for a better idea of what I am talking about.
Our plans are currently going through the phase of being looked at and hopefully approved by Sydney Water and we are waiting for council to issue the Construction Certificate.
